Driod Phone vs iPhone

You may have heard the Droid beats the iPhone and you are struggling with the same question that many other consumers are searching for the answer which is, “Should i get the droid?”.  Many consumers like the Droid X but the iPhone 4 seems to be getting so much positive feedback.  It’s like the update to date phone in technology for today’s users.

Just what are the pros and cons of the iPhone versus Droid X?  Listed below is a comparison section that could save you some time when trying to make your decision:

Droid X

Pros:

  • display size 4.3″ size
  • comes with 8GB storage built-in along with 16GB memory card for same price as iPhone 4…can buy 32 GB memory card to increase storage
  • when connecting to TV – connects via HDMI cable
  • 3rd microphone which is better sound quality for videos
  • built in FM radio
  • onscreen keyboards for typing both that includes ‘Swype’ functionality which means faster typing on touchscreens by sliding finger from letter to letter instead of tapping on each key

Cons:

  • has a hump at the top of phone which raises that portion nearly 2 times thick as rest of phone
  • battery may not  be as good… processor is faster than original Droid but it uses more power faster
  • lags

iPhone 4

Pros:

  • larger number of apps to choose from
  • Retina display technology – significantly higher resolution…performs better in sunlight and bright areas than most other phones – less eyestrain
  • front facing camera which allows video chat with each other
  • the battery life great
  • inclusion of folders for better app organization

Cons:

  • only allows multitasking with certain programs
  • when connecting to TV…simply connects via AV cables
  • display size 3.5″ screen
  • doesn’t have Swype functionality
  • can’t talk on phone and surf web at the same time

All in all, many people like the iPhone; however, many like the Droid, so it comes down to a personal decision.  One note although, the iPhone 4 seems to be very popular especially for entertainment, games and fun.  And the iPhone 4 has so many apps to choose from.  The Apple apps store has over 300,000 apps for the iPhone 4.
