Some consumers have reported the Grado SR325is headphones as being great for listening to music with its rich bass tones and sound so clear that the listener is able to hear the fingers sliding over the guitar strings. All which help contribute to a five-star rating for sound.

The 325is is made in the USA and the construction is reported as solidly built and made to last which also received a five-star rating.

However, the SR325is headphones only received a four-star rating for comfort. Even though wearing the headphones long enough to get used to them, helps resolve that issue. But there is an easy solution to make the foam softer and more ‘comfy’.

To make the foam that goes on top of the ears softer, take them off the headphones and squeeze them around in water with fabric softener. Take them out of the water/fabric softener solution and let them air dry for a while and then rinse them out with water to remove the fabric softener. Let them air dry completely and then put them back on the headphones. Drying times will vary according to temperatures.

In many consumers way of thinking this problem is small compared to the great robust, quality sound that is produced by the SR325is. They are pricey but many think the quality of sound they hear is well worth it.

6 Strategies on How to Choose the Best One for Your Network

Click Here to see Novatel mifi 2200 Mobile WiFi Modem (Verizon Wireless)

If you have multiple devices, such as desktops, a laptop, and printer and want to create a network, then you will need a router. And to avoid having many cables connected to devices such as these, especially running from one room to another room, you will need a wireless router. So, how does one choose the best router wireless device for their network? The following list should help make this task less difficult when connecting all your devices to one network.

The router that is selected for your network needs to be compatible (work) with existing wireless cable or the DSL modem you use. Many times laptops come equipped with a wireless card that is built-in but some do not especially older ones. All desktops do not have a wireless card, either. Therefore, you may need to purchase one. If you have an Apple Mac laptop or desktop chances are the wireless card is built-in. And any device that is to be shared over the network, such as a printer needs to be compatible, also.

Even the best router wireless device on the market needs password protection to help with security issues. Also, password protection fends off freeloaders from accessing your wireless connection since you can’t know how far the signal is reaching.

Some routers come with more than one antenna enabling them to be pointed in different directions; hence the range coverage area is another determining factor when selecting a network router. For instance, will your coverage include one room or two, downstairs upstairs, or outside?

When selecting a network router, look for the ones that include status lights that indicate connection and status on the router itself and PC activity.

Also make sure the best router wireless device you choose for your network has two Ethernet connection ports to insure connectivity to devices, such as a full desktop to the network.

Your router may be in high traffic areas, or used in travel and moved around a lot, so getting one that is durable is a good choice. And if it will be visible, such as on a desk you may want to choose a router that is small and will blend in with its surroundings.

Many wireless routers are on the market today. They range in size, capabilities and cost; however, it doesn’t have to be a very time-consuming task in trying to decide the best router wireless device that will do the job for your particular network for home or business.

Verizon to Verizon

The old saying is, “Nothing in life is free”; however, if you have a cell phone service plan with Verizon and you talk to someone who has Verizon’s service also known as ‘Verizon to Verizon’, your minutes are free. It may sound too good to be true but it isn’t. It doesn’t matter which of you initiates the call or how long you talk. That fact alone can save consumers a lot of money especially when so many consumers are giving up their land line phone at home and only using cell phones. This applies to mobile to mobile free plans also. Just what is mobile to mobile? It is when someone like yourself and a friend who is on the same calling network talks to each other regardless of the network company’s name.

You may be thinking that you don’t know anyone that you want to talk to on a regular basis who has a service plan with Verizon. Good news. Any friend that is referred to Verizon by you receives a $25 Verizon Wireless Rewards Visa debit card along with the referee (that’s you) getting one too! So by getting someone you talk with to activate a new service with Verizon to Verizon will benefit you and your friend by talking for free which can mean HUGE savings for both of you.

And receive another $25 for every line activated when you refer a qualified business and the ‘Push to Talk’ service is activated by them. Push to Talk is a 2-way radio type of service that provides simple communication by pushing a button.

And in addition to the savings mentioned above, adding a smartphone which are very popular right now, such as the iPhone 4 onto a Nationwide Family Share Plan will make you able to share minutes for free. This too is a type of Verizon to Verizon.

Another type of Verizon to Verizon in a different sense that many people probably don’t know about is the ‘Employee Discount Program’ Verizon offers to its members. The name of this program is really deceiving. It appears to be a discount program to employees of Verizon. Not so. The program refers to companies who have a contract with Verizon. To make it plainer, if the company you work for has a contract with Verizon, then you may be entitled to as high as a 25% discount on your cell phone service plan and accessories depending on the size of the contract. For example, the United States Postal Service employees qualify for this type of discount which makes a difference on the bill! It’s easy to find out if your company qualifies. All you need is a company email in order to check it out on Verizon’s site.

And like icing on top of the cake, Verizon offers a worry free guarantee…which means you can change your plan without a fee or contract extension. And if you purchase online, you can receive a 14-day satisfaction guarantee and return the ordered device and cancel the plan (a restocking fee may apply).

Verizon has many ways to save the consumer money today. They are not all listed here but you can see more ways to save by visiting Verizon’s site.

Listed below are some options for AT&T and iPhone4:

Prices for iPhone4

16GB - new $199

refurbished device $99 – refurbished cosmetic blemish device $79

32GB – new $299

refurbished $199 – refurbished cosmetic blemish $179

If you need help determining between the 16GB or 32GB on which iPhone is right for you, calculating the sum of photos, music and videos and room for apps should give you an idea of which to buy.

Please note: A data plan is required for the life of your iPhone service and cannot be removed in the future. This can prove to be quite costly if you only receive 2GB for $25/month and have to paya$10 fee for each gig thereafter. Verizon offers an unlimited data plan for a flat $29.99/month fee. One word of caution… this type of plan may not always be offered by Verizon.

Shortly after AT&T’s introduction to iPhone4 last summer, customers complained that holding the device in certain ways or touching it in specific areas lowered signal strength. Dropped calls and sluggish data feed was also reported.

Early termination fee: $325 – $10 for each full month of your service commitment you complete. That’s terribly expensive.

Can I use Wi-Fi on my iPhone 4 while traveling abroad to obtain a data connection?

Coverage

Verizon is the largest network around, so they should be able to handle your wireless device needs.

Discounts

Verizon has many, many ways for you to save with using their network as your provider. One plan in particular that so many consumers probably even are not aware of is the ‘employee discount program’. This program offers Verizon customers up to 25% discount when their employer (the customer’s employer) has a contract with them. Food for thought!

You may have heard the Droid beats the iPhone and you are struggling with the same question that many other consumers are searching for the answer which is, “Should i get the droid?”. Many consumers like the Droid X but the iPhone 4 seems to be getting so much positive feedback. It’s like the update to date phone in technology for today’s users.

Just what are the pros and cons of the iPhone versus Droid X? Listed below is a comparison section that could save you some time when trying to make your decision:

Droid X

Pros:

display size 4.3″ size

comes with 8GB storage built-in along with 16GB memory card for same price as iPhone 4…can buy 32 GB memory card to increase storage

when connecting to TV – connects via HDMI cable

3rd microphone which is better sound quality for videos

built in FM radio

onscreen keyboards for typing both that includes ‘Swype’ functionality which means faster typing on touchscreens by sliding finger from letter to letter instead of tapping on each key

Cons:

has a hump at the top of phone which raises that portion nearly 2 times thick as rest of phone

battery may not be as good… processor is faster than original Droid but it uses more power faster

lags

iPhone 4

Pros:

larger number of apps to choose from

Retina display technology – significantly higher resolution…performs better in sunlight and bright areas than most other phones – less eyestrain

front facing camera which allows video chat with each other

the battery life great

inclusion of folders for better app organization

Cons:

only allows multitasking with certain programs

when connecting to TV…simply connects via AV cables

display size 3.5″ screen

doesn’t have Swype functionality

can’t talk on phone and surf web at the same time

All in all, many people like the iPhone; however, many like the Droid, so it comes down to a personal decision. One note although, the iPhone 4 seems to be very popular especially for entertainment, games and fun. And the iPhone 4 has so many apps to choose from. The Apple apps store has over 300,000 apps for the iPhone 4.

Buy iPhone

Verizon now has the iPhone 4, and it will be available for purchase February 10th, 2011. Existing Verizon customers can pre-order ahead of the rest and buy iPhone on or around February 3rd, 2011 providing they are eligible for an annual upgrade. And if you are one of many consumers who want to know how to buy iPhone without contract requirements, Verizon is offering the iPhone 4 at retail price contract free. This is a plus since many consumers don’t like a one year contract much less a two year especially in these days of financial uncertainty.

Your iPhone 4 price without contract is $649.99 for the 16GB and $749.00 for the 32GB and your regular monthly fee for service will apply as well depending on the type service plan selected. Another requirement is the purchase of the data package which is $15 per month for 150 mb and $29.99 per month for unlimited data.

Also, Verizon offers a 14 day trial satisfaction guarantee plan which many consumers may not be aware of. You get free overnight shipping and instant online discounts on select phones. (FYI): USPS employees can receive a discount, so if that’s you why not ask about how much of a discount you can get.

Trade ins are welcome with Verizon. Verizon will send you a self-addressed prepaid envelope to transport your trade-in phone model and in return you will receive a wireless gift card.

By the way, Verizon is America’s most reliable wireless network.
